#Oh my God speaking of this scene #can I note how much I love the moment in the book when Obi-Wan is still unconscious #and Palpatine feigns slipping and panics and begs Anakin for his hand #and Anakin without hesitation actually thinks ‘And drop Obi-Wan? Not in this millennium’ #Palpatine isn’t just Anakin’s friend and somewhat of a father figure #he’s also the single most important political figure in the galaxy in the most critical time of the war #this entire mission is about protecting Palpatine #and yet Anakin is unflinchingly willing to risk his death to ensure Obi-Wan’s survival
